Powers of Registrar to surmon persons.

to be registered under this Ordinance; 303 (b) fixing fees for such registration; and (c) generally, for the purpose of carrying into

effect the provisions of this Ordinance.

(2) The regulations in the Schedule shall be in force until altered or amended by regulations made under this

Ordinance.

(3) All regulations made under this Ordinance shall be laid on the table of the Legislative Council at the first meeting thereof held after the publication in the Gazette of the making of such regulations, and if a resolution be passed at the first meeting of the Legis- lative Council held after such regulations have been laid on the table of the said Council resolving that any such regulation shall be rescinded or emended in any manner whatsoever, the said regulation shall,

be without prejudice to anything done thereunder, deemed to be rescinded or amended as the case may be,

as from the date of publication in the Gazette of the passing of such resolution.

(4) Every person who commits a breach of any such regulation shall upon summary conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars.

8.-(1) The Registrar may sumon before him any person whom he has reason to believe is able to give any information whatever as to the operations of any society, or as to its objects, officers or place or proposed place of meeting.

(2) The person so summoned shall be required in

the summons -

(a) to attend at a specified time and place; and (b) to produce at such time and place all

documents in his custody or possession or power relating to the said society.
